In 2013, Dani was contacted by the Discovery Channel to test her knowledge and skills against the “Everest of all survival challenges”: Naked and Afraid.  She has since completed multiple wilderness survival challenges- as a vegan.

1^st ChallEnge: Naked and Afraid: "Colombian Conflict"

• Location: Magdelena, Colombia
• Biome: Caribbean - Tropical and Subtropical Moist Broadleaf Forests - Moist Forest
• Climate: Warm, semi-arid
• Duration: 21 days

Dani was able to apply her knowledge and skills to the ultimate test, taking on her first 21-day Naked and Afraid challenge in the jungles of Magdelena, Colombia. She was partnered with Charlie and they were allowed 2 items: a fire starter and a kukri.

2^nd ChallEnge: Naked and Afraid XL: Season 1

• Location: Puerto Carreño, Vichada, Colombia
• Biome: Orinoco - Tropical and Subtropical Grasslands, Savannas, and Shrublands
• Climate: Tropical, savannah, desert
• Duration: 40 days

Shortly after recovering from her 21 day success, Dani was asked to participate in Discovery Channel’s first ever 40-day Naked and Afraid XL challenge in the desert savanna of Vichada, Colombia: where 8 out of 12 expert survivalists made it to the finish line.  Dani’s items on this challenge were a fire starter and a neck knife.

3^rd ChallEnge: Naked and Afraid All Stars: "BASKETS AND BULLET ANTS"

• Location: Limoncocha, Sucumbíos Province, Ecuador
• Biome: Amazon - Tropical Rainforest
• Climate: Monsoon
• Duration: 21 Days

Dani took on another naked adventure- but this time it would be the harshest of locations: The Amazon basin in Sucumbíos, Ecuador, during peak monsoon season.  She was partnered with Fernando and they were allowed 2 items: a fire starter and a machete.
