Conservationist Dani Beau was born for a life full of adventure, travel, and learning.

Dani’s home roots are in the pine barrens of southern New Jersey. After high school, Dani worked as a waitress and bartender at Prospector’s Grille and Saloon in Mount Laurel, NJ while attending college. Dani then spent her 20’s working as a guide at Eastern Mountain Sports in NJ and PA, a wilderness-EMT and rock climbing instructor in NJ and PA, and wilderness guide and lodge caretaker in remote Alaska.

She moved to Iceland in 2016 to pursue a Master of Science degree in Natural Resource Management. Throughout the following 5 years in Iceland, Dani worked as a Researcher, Professor, and a Search and Rescue Instructor for ICESAR. Dani’s fun side-job was 4x4 ATV and buggy guiding, glacier guiding, glacier lagoon kayak guiding. Dani worked as an Environmental Team Leader and in Sales+Service with Iceland’s largest tourism vector.

Dani is a dual resident of the USA and Iceland where she continues working as a University Professor and teaches for the Wilderness Medicine Society; as well as bushcraft and primitive survival practices at various conferences around the world. Dani’s main passion and goal in life is to advocate for the environment while helping others connect to the nature and wildlife in our surroundings.
