Dani’s home roots are in the pine barrens of southern New Jersey.  After high school, Dani worked as a waitress and bartender at Prospector’s Grille and Saloon in Mount Laurel, NJ while attending college.  Dani then spent her 20’s working as a guide at Eastern Mountain Sports in NJ and PA, a wilderness-EMT and rock climbing instructor in NJ and PA, and wilderness guide and lodge caretaker in remote Alaska.

She moved to Iceland in 2016 to pursue a Master of Science degree in Natural Resource Management.  Throughout the following 5 years in Iceland, Dani worked as a Researcher, Professor, and a Search and Rescue Instructor for ICESAR.  Dani’s fun side-job was 4x4 ATV and buggy guiding, glacier guiding, glacier lagoon kayak guiding.  Dani worked as an Environmental Team Leader and in Sales+Service with Iceland’s largest tourism vector.
